BVI Marriage License
We are dedicated to helping you plan your perfect wedding and memories that will last a lifetime. At Neptune’s Treasure we believe that your wedding day should be fun, stress free, and deeply romantic.
The application for the marriage license requires the following documents: Proof of identity, arrival date in the BVI, and marital status, in the form of a passport or notarized birth certificate with picture. If you have been widowed or divorced, the original death certificate or divorce papers are needed. (If these are unobtainable, a Decree Absolute from a lawyer will suffice). Names, ages and occupations of the couple to be married and the names of two witnesses to the ceremony are also required. We are always happy to be your witnesses if you’d like. The license will take only one (1) working day to process.
The ceremony is conducted according to the British Law. Ceremonies can be arranged Monday to Saturday. As with any commonwealth country, the only records of your wedding on your return home are your marriage certificates given to you after the marriage ceremony. Our marriage certificates with the Registrar-General’s seal are official legal documents. You may, however, wish to check with your local authorities in the event that the certificate requires to be legally authenticated by means of an apostille. If apostles are required, these can also be prepared for an additional fee of $50.
Wedding Policy
Catering and bar service must be arranged through Neptune’s Treasure. Payment of your selected wedding package is due 1 month prior to your arrival and is non-refundable. Gratuities for planning and services are not included and are entirely at your discretion. Please contact us for dinner menu options.
